Bread menu for week c/o 30 November 2020

And here we are, heading into December and the end of 2020 which really has been a year full of surprises and no doubt will keep giving until the very last. I'm glad to report that wst.bkh being an essential business we are not affected by the change in tier from Wednesday and will bake as usual. I have spotted some '00 flour in shops so Mediterranean treats are on the menu to counter the fog. 

Wild West Tuesday with Wild West in standard and large size and Rugbrod as a half or full tin loaf. I can add nuts to your RGB (almonds, hazelnuts or walnuts) for £1 more per loaf (£0.50 per half loaf). Please order by 5PM tomorrow Sunday 29 November. You can add honey to any order.

Friday and Saturday: Wild West large size only, Pan Marino, Raisin & Rosemary, Rugbrod (see Tuesday) and 3-grain. Honey available with any bread order. All orders to be placed by Weds 5PM.

Dear all, as we are saying good bye to a week full of new experiences (I dropped two loaves from the oven 10 minutes into the bake last week, never happened to me before) a new week is starting on Monday which will mark the beginning of the home stretch to Xmas. But for this week we are sticking with year-round standards and making the most of our rejunenated rye starter!

Tuesday: Pain de Campagne in standard and large size. Rugbrod as a half or full tin load.
Please order before Sunday 5PM. 

Friday & Saturday: PdC and Wild West (both large size only), Rugbrod (half or full loaf), NYDR.
Friday only: my Cornish Saffron bread, my Lincs plum bread. Please order by Wednesday 5PM. 

And remember that you can add honey to any bread order.

Dear All

A slight twist on the menu next week as I'll be offering the fruit loaf on Tuesday this time to even out the load in what's probably going to be an interesting week on all fronts. Lots and lots on so as usual I'm looking for new ways of doing things in order to juggle my desk job and my work in the bakery.

And without further ado, here goes:

Wild West Tuesday with Wild West in standard and large size AND my Cornish saffron bread. Please order as early as possible and by Sunday (tomorrow) 5PM in any case!

Friday & Saturday: Wild West in large size only, Black & white sesame, Poppy & sesame and Walnut bread. Please order by Wednesday 5PM.

Honey as usual available with any bread order (£5.75 per pot, see in Treats). Remember to specify either runny or set.

My dear customers

I hope you are faring well during lockdown and you are ready to take on the challenge of the next few weeks. As I told a few customers, I took no chances and ordered 129kg of flour last week and more to the point it has arrived so I should be stocked up until early December. 

Next week I will be going back to using non-wheat flour as I'm in stock with plenty of barley and rye.

Tuesday: Pain de Campagne and Rugbrod. Please specify for each if you want a standard (half size for Rugbrod) or large size (full size for Rugbrod). Order by tomorrow Sunday 8 Nov 5PM please.

Friday & Saturday: Wild West, Rugbrod (for both, please specify size), Lemon & Barley and Barley & Ale (remember latter contains ale, therefore alcohol).  
Friday only: My Lincs plum bread.
Please order by Wednesday 5PM.

Honey is available on all baking days with bread orders. 

I now rarely send reminders to order as I tend to be at capacity by the time deadline comes. I usually  bake a few spares so if you have not ordered in time it's always worth dropping me a line.

And finally: during covid, I'm concentrating on safety and as usual bread quality. So as explained before, we are not re-using our small and large brown paper bags and we are not stamping bags any longer (to do with time economy as much as anything else). You will notice that sometimes another name is crossed out on your bag near where your name appears: it is NOT that we are re-using someone else's bag (we have NEVER done that), it's simply that we initially wrote the name of another customer for whom the bag wasnt needed after all so we are using it for you instead.

OK everyone, my rye starter has played ball so here is the menu for:

Friday and Saturday: Pain de Campagne in standard and large size, Rugbrod as half or whole tin loaf (in both cases, please specify size on ordering), NYDR, and Fig & Fennel. Order by Wed 5PM.

Honey will be back in stock and can be added to any bread order.
